The purpose of the seminar was to present successful examples of businesses and professionals from the field of culture and creativity from Achaia and the rest of Greece. The aim was to present the progress of these companies and to discuss ways of exploiting their experience by newer companies and professionals in the sector.
The key-note speakers: Mr. Sotiris Bolis (Chairman of the Board of Directors of PRIMAROLIA MAKE), Mr. Elias Katirtzianoglou (founder of the Comicdom Press company), Mr. Paris Laliotis (Designer), Mr. Fanis Diplas ("Lithographion" theater), Mr. Spyros Kampiotis (Senior Project Manager of Istros Production), Mr. Konstantinos Rizos and Ms. Lena Arkoumanis (photographers), focused on their sectors, correspondingly, presenting the instances, up to success. The 25 attendees had the opportunity to make an open and creative discussion, exchanging information and reflections.
The organization of workshops by the Chamber of Achaia is a concrete reply to the needs of the local creative and cultural industries, emerged after a survey conducted in 2020 by the Institute of Regional Development – Panteion University. The local creative industries can contribute to the local economic development however, they lack of significant skills on entrepreneurship, economic knowhow related to the innovative business models, so they need to be trained about these topics in order to become more competitive.
