We announce the Awards of the Cross-Border Open Innovation Contest into the context of Interreg Creative@Hubs Project

With the announcement of the awards, was concluded the Interreg Creative@Hubs the Cross-Border Open Innovation Contest for business ideas and proposals in the field of Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs), to the following thematic areas:

  1. Agri-food sector
  2. Crafts / Visual-Artistic creations / Performing Arts (Theatre, Dance, Music, etc.)
  3. Cultural Tourism / Cultural Heritage

Creators, artists, organizations and companies in the field of Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs) had the opportunity, from 22 November to 20 December 2022, to submit their integrated innovative business ideas to the open innovation platform of the Regional Development Fund of the Western Greece Region (RDF/RWG) (www.pde-oip.gr/en)  by participating in the Contest.

An independent 8-member Committee, was evaluated the proposals with complete transparency, highlighting the following award-winning proposals, by thematic section and by ranking:

  • Agri-food sector

1st prize: Pantelis Milonas

2nd prize: Spyros Lazaropoulos

3rd prize: Natalie La Torre

  • Crafts / Visual-Artistic creations / Performing Arts (Theatre, Dance, Music, etc.)

1st prize: Giuseppe Rinelli

(There were not enough proposals in this category to award three prizes)

  • Cultural Tourism / Cultural Heritage

1st prize: Paris Laliotis

2nd prize: Konstantinos Ragias

3rd prize: Traces KOINSEP

 

The results are posted on the project platform: https://creativehubs.cti.gr/home  

The awards, briefly, include the organization and implementation of a mentoring program, the development of publicity material and the participation of the awardees in an exhibition or other event of the creative sector in the intervention area of the program or the networking of the awarded group with another creative hub in the context of the project.

In addition, the RWG will undertake the participation (travel expenses) of Mr. Paris Laliotis (proposal with the highest absolute score) in an exhibition of the creative sector in an area outside the intervention area of the program, subject to the approval by the Administrative Authority of the Program.

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, 3 February 2023 (11:00-13:00) at the premises of the Region of Western Greece - Regional Council Hall (N.E.O. Patron-Athinon 32 & Amerikis, Patras).

The Creative@Hubs – Interreg V-A Greece-Italy project involves four partners: Region of Western Greece – Regional Development Fund (lead), Region of Epirus, Region of Ionian Islands and Region of Apulia. In the context of a programmatic agreement with the Region of Western Greece, the following partners also participate: CTI "DIOFANTOS", the three Chambers of Commerce of the Region of Western Greece (Aetoloakarnania, Achaia, Helia) and the Institute of Regional Development - Panteion University.
